Fort Carson
Family Housing
Fort Carson, CO

Fort Carson in Colorado Springs was the site selected for the first privatized housing project by the US Army.  The project, begun in 1999, will provide much needed military housing for soldiers and their families, markedly enhancing base livability.  The new 729 townhomes and 111 single family homes are designed in a comfortable, family-oriented style.  The buildings blend elements of the craftsman, bungalow and cottage styles of the mid-1900s, while the floor plans are more open, flowing and flexible to reflect 21st century lifestyles.  The homes have been designed with today's families in mind; spacious, energy-efficient and very livable.  The design creates a strong relationship between the interior spaces of the homes and the exterior living environment, capitalizing on the natural beauty of Colorado Springs.
